Please join us on Wednesday evenings during Lent for our mid-week worship using the beautiful Holden Evening Prayer by Marty Haugen as our liturgy. The theme for Wednesday nights during Lent is the “I AM” sayings of John. The schedule is as follows:
February 21: Pastor Angie Kutney ~ I AM the Bread of Life
February 28: Pastor Ann Fenlason ~ I AM the Door/Gate
March 7: Pastor Marilyn Crossfield ~ I AM the Resurrection and Life
March 14: Pastor Mel Rau ~ I AM the Light of the World
March 21: Pastor Maggie Isaacson ~ I AM the Good Shepherd
Please join us for this time of prayer, singing and word!
We are very adept at turning away from God in order to focus on our own needs and wants. With Ash Wednesday, Lent begins; it is the holy season of acknowledging our need for repentance and for God’s mercy. As disciples of Jesus, we are called to resist whatever leads us away from love of God and neighbor. The season of Lent is a time for self-examination and turning back toward God–of prayer, sacrificial giving, and works of love.
Ashes will be imposed and Holy Communion will be served; please join us at 7:00 pm on February 14th for our Ash Wednesday service.
Join us at our 10:30 a.m. worship service for A Festival of Lessons and Carols!
