Laurene grew up in Frederic, but has deep seated roots in Bone Lake Lutheran Church, as her grandmother was the first person baptized in this church, and her mother and aunts and uncles grew up and were confirmed in the church. Laurene enjoys living on Big Butternut Lake, and makes jewelry as a hobby.
